Fashion is a colourful experience for your eyes. And no one outfit or ensemble is complete without a dash of colour.
Every year for over 20 years, Pantone’s Colour of the Year has been a major leading influence on many product developments and purchasing decisions in a wide array of different but interlinked industries. These industries all have something to do with an eye for style, such as the fashion, home furnishing, industrial design, product packaging, and graphic design industries.
In 2019, the Colour of the Year was Coral Pink. As for 2020, Pantone has announced it to be Classic Blue [19-4052] and described it as, “Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”
TL;DR: Classic Blue is the 2020 Colour of the Year and it’s like opening a door into a new era while staying calm and not being a panicking chicken about it.
Staying calm and being chill about a whole new year of life in 2020? Sounds like something we could all use a dose of, right?
But wait, we can’t possibly just change out all our home furniture to match the Colour of the Year, can we? (Or at least a shade of blue that’s close enough to Classic Blue.)
Well, fret not, because we can change out our wardrobe!
It’s time to go shopping in preparation for the new year, with trendy new clothes in those perfect blues that will be all the rage this coming year.
PS: Guess what? Harisons is armed with a variety of baju kurung, scarves, and fabrics in all the blues you could want, just for your 2020 style update!
